What's new

Every MP Art release, in plain language. The app that turns your Samsung Frame TV into a gallery keeps getting better — here's what's changed. Latest: v2.1.1.

v2.1.1

Latest August 9, 2026
  • Steadier TV connection

Reconnecting to your Frame is more reliable, and the app no longer keeps retrying a TV that has declined the connection — which is easier on your battery.

  • A more resilient gallery

If your TV sends something unexpected, your artwork list keeps working instead of appearing empty.

v2.1.0

August 7, 2026
  • Batch upload

Pick up to 10 photos at once, choose one matte for all of them, adjust each crop, then send them to your Frame in one go — with live progress and time remaining.

  • Landscape filter

Uploading from a mixed camera roll? One tap keeps only the landscape shots — portrait photos are set aside, not deleted.

  • TV storage at a glance

See how many photos are already on your TV before you send more. If your Frame ever runs out of space, MP Art remembers its limit and warns you next time.

v2.0.0

August 6, 2026
  • A beautiful new look

Every screen rebuilt in an elegant, editorial style — calm, paper-like, and focused on the art. The same redesign spans the app and this website.

  • Gallery-grade typography

Set in the Source Serif typeface, with room for every artwork to breathe.

  • A richer dark mode

A deep, ink-dark theme redesigned across the whole app.

  • One design everywhere

iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and the web now share the same refined look.

v1.7.13

August 5, 2026
  • Why your TV was not showing up

A VPN quietly routes local traffic off your network, so the app could never see your TV — and the old "No TVs found" gave you nothing to go on. The app now spots this and tells you exactly what to switch off, with a fuller checklist for the other causes.

v1.7.12

August 4, 2026
  • Every screen in your language

Around 170 texts that were still showing in English — the Curated tab, sync and connection messages, TV setup, and the subscription screens — are now translated in all six languages.

  • Dark mode reads properly

Main buttons showed a black label on a near-black fill in dark mode, and info notifications had an invisible icon. Both are fixed, so every control is legible on either theme.

  • You choose what we see

The app now records which collections get opened and whether art reaches the TV, so we can fix what actually breaks. No personal details, and you can switch it off any time in Settings → Privacy.

v1.7.11

August 3, 2026
  • Clear answers when uploads fail

When your TV refuses a picture, the app now tells you exactly why — full art storage, missing permission, or a busy TV — with simple steps to fix it.

  • One-tap connection repair

A new “Fix TV Connection” button re-links your TV from scratch in one guided step — no more digging through menus.

v1.7.10

July 31, 2026
  • Truthful connection status

Fixed the app showing “Connected” after the TV had revoked access — it now tells you what happened and how to fix it.

  • Smoother TV approval

Connecting is faster on TVs that never show a popup, and cancelling a pairing no longer ends in an error message.

v1.7.9

July 30, 2026
  • Stays paired

Fixed the repeated permission prompts on newer Frame TVs — one “Allow” on the TV is now remembered.

  • Reliable repeat sends

Fixed “Could not send to TV” appearing after the first artwork — the TV connection now refreshes itself automatically.

v1.7.8

July 29, 2026
  • Newest Frame TVs

Support for the 2026 Frame and Frame Pro, so artwork sends to them correctly.

  • More reliable sending

If your TV doesn’t respond first time, MP Art now retries automatically instead of leaving the transfer stuck.

v1.7.7

July 21, 2026
  • Subscription update

Premium is now $9.99/year for new subscribers. If you’re already subscribed, you keep your current price.

  • Polish & stability

Behind-the-scenes improvements for a smoother, faster experience across the app.

v1.7.6

July 17, 2026
  • Reliable TV pairing

Your TV now remembers connection approvals — no more repeated permission prompts.

  • 2025 Frame ready

Improved support for 2025 Frame TVs, including instant Art Mode status after connecting.

v1.7.5

July 9, 2026
  • Better sharing

Shared artworks now include a link so friends can find the artwork and the app.

  • Polish & stability

Smoother gallery cards, better error recovery, and general reliability improvements.

v1.7.4

July 8, 2026
  • Artwork quick actions

Tap the new ⋯ button on any gallery artwork to display it on your TV, edit its matte, or delete it.

  • Smoother phone upgrades

Switched to a new phone? The app now recovers automatically so you can re-pair your TV right away.

v1.7.3

July 8, 2026
  • Scroll position restored

Coming back from an artwork now returns you to exactly where you were in the collection.

  • Expandable descriptions

Long collection descriptions are now neatly collapsed with a “Read more” toggle.

v1.7.2

July 8, 2026
  • 15 free TV syncs

Send up to 15 artworks to your TV for free. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited syncs.

  • Discover mode

The curated collection now opens in random order so you discover something new every time.

  • Audio narration fixed

Audio narration now plays reliably, including improved Chinese voice support.

v1.6.1

March 28, 2026
  • Favourites fixed

Saving artworks to your favourites now works reliably — we fixed an issue that caused errors when tapping the heart icon.

  • Scrollable filters

The Community filter panel can now be scrolled on smaller screens so you can reach all filter options.
